Swim Lessons: Preschool
Pre-school swim lessons are for children alone. There will be a maximum of 6 children per 1 swim instructor in each class. Some classes even have 2 swim instructors for up to 6 children. Children will progress through lessons at their own rate, and it is important to understand that children will not pass or fail a level, however they will move up when the instructor feels that they are ready.
NEW this session, choose from 1x/week for 7 weeks or 2x/week for 3 1/2 weeks (Tuesday and Thursday ONLY).
Pike (Beginner)
Helps children develop safe pool behavior while emphasizing
water safety, bubble blowing and kicking and floating with assistance.
Eel (intermediate)
Children will begin submerging his/her face in the water. Focus is on paddling on front, back & side for 20 feet with support.
Ray (Advanced Intermediate)
Review of previous skills, improve strokes, build endurance on front, back & side for 25 feet. Sitting & kneeling dives as well.
Starfish (Advanced)
Refine strokes & increase endurance. Paddle on front, back & side unassisted.
