Pre-K Enrichment Program
The Smithfield YMCA's Pre-K Enrichment Program is entering our sixth year of excellence. Pre-K Enrichment continues to grow each year into a well defined and acknowledged pre-school program, designed to prepare children for Kindergarten.
The Smithfield Y's Pre-K Program prepares young children for kindergarten by teaching alphabet recognition, number recognition, shapes, colors, community safety, gross motor skills, such as hand over hand cutting and tracing and so much more!
Although our Pre-K Program is dedicated to 3 1/2 to 5 year olds, the Y philosophy is to embrace the entire family and make each year a bonding experience for the children in the program, their siblings and their parents. Our experienced teachers take the best care of each child and help each student develop into well-rounded and independent individuals.
One of the many bonuses of the Smithfield YMCA's Pre-K program is the children are able to swim every Monday and Wednesday of each week, which helps build confidence in the water and in their everyday lives! Also, every other Friday the children have the honor of experiencing and learning "Music with Miss Jean"!
