Pre-K Enrichment Program
The Smithfield YMCA’s Pre-K Enrichment Program prepares children for Kindergarten by teaching alphabet recognition, number recognition, shapes, colors, community safety, counting, gross motor skills, such as hand over hand cutting and so much more!
The Pre-K Program begins on September 9th and runs through June 6, 2014. The children enrolled will receive progress evaluations twice throughout the year to help gauge the learning progress of each child.
At the end of the year, children will participate in a Pre-K Graduation ceremony where family and friends are invited to attend.
Children participate in free swim every Monday and will receive a swim lesson every Wednesday which will help to build confidence in the water and their everyday lives! Fees are based on a monthly rate and will be automatically deducted from a savings or checking account on the first of each month.
Parents can choose from our regular care Pre-K Program that runs from 9:30 - 1:00 PM or our extended care program which runs from 8:30 - 2:00 PM. The extended care program offers parents extra time to tend to work, chores or siblings! During the 8:30 - 9:30 AM extended care and the 1:00 - 2:00 PM extended care, children will participate in structured play stations learning activities.
